At MaxCARE, we offer two different levels of fire protection for commercial applications.

Master Flame is an environmentally friendly Class “A” Flame Retardant intended for use on woods, fabrics, and other absorbent materials. When properly applied, Master Flame prevents dangerous flames from spreading and inhibits the development of toxic smoke.

Master Flame Class ‘A’ Flame Retardant was tested in accordance with NFPA 701, ASTM E84, and UL 723 for flame spread and smoke development value by SGS US, in addition to California Title 19. Based on the reported results and cited Code Classification System, Master Flame has been assigned a Class “A” Rating.

For unfinished woods that are exposed to outdoor elements such as preciptiation and humidity, it is recommended to re-apply frequently as moisture will negatively impact Master Flame’s effectiveness. To prevent frequent reapplication, a water based sealer can be applied to the wood after Master Flame has fully dried.
For indoor woods that are not exposed to moisture, reapplication is recommended every 2 years.
For fabrics that encounter high friction such as uniforms or upholstery, it is recommended to reapply every 6 months. For fabrics exposed to excessive moisture, or after washing, Master Flame must be reapplied as Master Flame is water soluable. If dry cleaning your material, Master Flame must be reapplied after every other dry clean.

Flamecheck M-111 is a universal fire retardant spray (on absorbant materials) that meets or exceeds a “Class A” fire retardant finish for NFPA 701-705 (fabric) and ASTM E-84 (wood) surfaces. Flamecheck is easy to use, non-toxic, noncorrosive,and non-allergenic.

Flamecheck M-111 is proven for use on:Fabric,(natural, synthetic and blends),Draperies, Stage Curtains(will not salt out), Bedding & Mattresses, Exhibition draperies/tablecloths, Upholstery – Home & Auto, Flags and Banners, Display Boards, Hay & Straw, Dried and SilkFlowers, Costumes, Stage Props and Backdrops, Polystyrene & Foam Rubber, Backdrops, Rope (cotton, jute, sisal, hemp,polyester), Real and Silk Flowers,Raw wood (ASTM E-84),Christmas Trees, and other absorbent surfaces.

Flamecheck M-111 is extremely durable and will not wear off, rub out, or “dry clean”out (if only percoethylene is used).Will not “Salt out” on black or dark colored drapes in high humidiity areas.  Once Flamecheck M-111 is applied, it will last a lifetime.  However, reapplication is recommended after laundering, to maintain a “Class A” finish.
